I meet with adults who are interested in engaging with nature, animals, and their spirituality to support healing and wellbeing, and who are seeking support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress and conflict, relationship issues, life transitions, grief and loss, impact of trauma, or navigating difficult life stressors and emotions. Many find that their spiritual beliefs and experiences with nature can provide guidance and resiliency through difficult times, and enrich their life experiences. Spending time in a beautiful natural setting can help access deeper feelings of connection, presence, and peacefulness. Rather than virtually or in an office, we can meet outdoors with the opportunity to be alongside horses, donkeys, goats (chickens, rabbits, sometimes wild animals join too!), in the paddocks, the barn, sitting in a hammock, or walking along the wooded nature trail.

Equines and TherapyAt Moonlight Ranch, the health and welfare of the animals and people are central to what we offer, and no matter the therapeutic approach, we support safe, honest, and regulated experiences. Interaction with the equines (horses and donkeys) can enhance therapy through providing an experiential, embodied, and relational experience. The equines are respected as having their own wants, needs, personalities, histories, and preferences. Most opportunities involve herd observation, as they are free to roam and choose how they want to be involved! They are highly social and emotionally attuned animals, demonstrating lessons about relationships, cooperation, leadership, emotional regulation, and authenticity. Interaction with equines can help increase our self-awareness and nonverbal communication skills, among other things.
